  • Origami is an art form created from a piece of paper by folding it. Origami is a simple activity that is essential to use fingertips yet embraces complexity at the same time with your own imagination.
    There are many benefits of Origami for all people; without boders and boundaries such as age, sex, and cultures.
    1. Stimulate and activate your brain to focus on fine motor-skill.
    2. Relaxing and gratifying through the process of accomplishment.
    3. Practical use as a part of everyday life. Try it for yourself!

    About Toshiko Kobayashi, MA ATR
    Toshiko is born and educated in Tokyo, Japan. She started to fold paper from her early childhood learning from her parents and siblings. She practiced Origami whenever she lived outside Japan with variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds and her children.
    Recently, she earned MA in art therapy at New York Univerity. She was awarded NYU Comunity Service Grants to organize Origami Workshops at NY Foundling Hospital and the Jewish Guild for the Blind. She is a member of Origami USA and British Origami Society, taught at Origami Conventions in New York and London. Currently she is working as a registered art therapist at several institutions in New York CIty, and also qualified as a Project Liberty crisis counselor.

    Toshiko is also available for Private Sessions of
    Individual, Couple, Family, and Group.
